Please reference on all artwork mailed or emailed your company name and your purchase order #. We require camera-ready black & white art. Photocopies, drawings or faxed art can only be used for cost estimation, and an art charge of $40.00 per hour will be charged to generate acceptable art. This will add an additional 3-5 working days to production.

No text should be smaller than 10 point. When 10 point is used, a plain font like Helvetica is recommended, as well as using all capital letters.

No script font should be smaller than 16 point. Any size below that is difficult to etch due to the fine nature of most scripts.

No lines, rules, or borders should be less than 2 point. Hairline and 1 point rules are difficult to etch and at times will appear jagged and missing in some areas.

Make sure your toner is printing black and not gray. Also, check for clear specks and lines in the black areas.

All logos must be black and white. No grayscale or halftones will be accepted. If small dots appear anywhere on the logo, that is a halftone and will not etch properly. These areas should be converted to a solid, whether black or white.

Awards of Distinction recommends that logos be at least 3/4" tall to ensure that all details are blasted. The larger the logo, the better for blasting.

When producing art for an award, keep in mind the size of the award. Some awards are too small to accommodate a large amount of text and/or logos.

When paint is needed, all aspects of the awards should be larger than normal. It is extremely difficult to paint small logos and text. Also, when multiple colors are desired, non sandblasted lines must sperate the colors to prevent them from running together.

PROOFS

We require 2-3 working days to produce a proof. Production of order begins with the date we receive written approval of proof. Orders remain on hold until a signed confirmation is received.
